The neighbor's dog chasing my cat and getting hit and by a van and killed.

Made the TTS CT team! Got the download a day kit made for Divine.

It's Been Too Long...

Wow, it's been ages since I've been here to blog anything, but life has been quite busy and I've not been doing a whole lot of scrapping except for a contest that Teri-Lynn talked me into over at TTS. The contest was really fun and I got a couple of layouts done that I've really been needing to do for over a year but just didn't have it in me to do, but for some reason I felt them calling me and now they are done. These should be the hardest ones I'll have do so I hope to actually be able to work on the rest of Whisper's book now. Here's the first one, the other one I can't post until next week.

This layout is about when we almost lost little Whisper in January of 2006. The journaling is the song "Our Farewell" by Within Temptation and makes my heart ache every time I hear it.

1. I hate having more than 2 visitors in my home at a time.(we have 20+ people coming on saturday....UGH)

2. I like animals way more than people.

3. Besides scrapping, I also crochet, sew and do cross stitch and needlepoint.

5. I'm a perfectionist...it has to be done right and perfectly or I'm just not happy.

6. I love talking to my few online friends but prefer to be alone IRL...even having a husband here everyday is difficult for me to handle.

7. and last but foremost and certainly well known, I miss my little one, Whisper!!!

Elsie Challenge 8

This was a really quick and easy one to do, once I set my mind to actually getting it done. :)

Tomorrow...

I used to love March...the first day of spring and and new babies in the animal world. It was my favorite time of year. Last year that all changed and I hate March!!! Tomorrow will be a year since Whisper went to Summerland, and I've spent the majority of the month in tears. I miss her so much! I'm trying to stay busy but it's really not working. Tomorrow will be a really hard day, but I have some special plans. I requested that Drak not take the day off because I just want to have time to myself. I'll be taking him to work and then going to get some flowers so I can make a special bouquet for her resting place. Then I will probably spend some time out in the yard with her and some of her things and just have a good long talk with her. I'm going to try to work on her book some as well, but we'll just have to see how that goes.

Elsie Challenge #4

The challenge was to make your own chipboard...I used the left over stencil from a Basic Grey chipboard pack to trace and then cut out the ornament. Used Gold Alcohol Ink mixative to make the ornament gold and then added the gems. This is the cover of a gatefold mini album.
